"Course Total" does not appear in the gradebook

In SUCourse, the “Course total” in the gradebook might not appear for several reasons. Here are the most common causes and how to fix them:

1. “Course total” is hidden in Gradebook setup
• If hidden, students won’t see it.
• Solution: Go to Grades → Gradebook setup. Check the “Course total” item. If it is hidden, click Edit → Show.
  
  
2. Aggregation method or settings
• If the course aggregation is set to “Natural” but no activities are graded yet, the “Course total” may not appear.
• Solution: Go to Grades → Course grade settings. Ensure that activities are graded and that the course total is set to “Show” in the grader report.
  
  
3. Check the aggregation method
• Verify the aggregation method from the gradebook setup.
  
  
4. Ensure activities have weights/grades set
• Activities without weights or grades may prevent the course total from being calculated.
  
  
5. Check for hidden or ungraded activities
• Sometimes the course total won’t calculate until at least one activity has been graded.
